Giving back to our community is paramount, and we are so proud to launch our Marta’s Matters campaign to further our philanthropic journey.
The core of our Marta’s Matters mission is giving back to the Triangle through in-store fundraising events. Last year, Marta’s highlighted several charities such as the Salvation Army of Wake County, Transitions LifeCare Pediatric Program, WakeMed Children’s Hospital and the SPCA of Wake County with our “Sip, Shop, and Support!” events. We donated 15% of all sales back to the charity at the end of each of these shopping days. In one instance alone, Marta’s donated more than $15,000 to WakeMed Children’s Hospital.
“It’s important to our team that we give back to the community that we have been so fortunate to be a part of, and I’m excited to kick off our second year by continuing to collaborate with some wonderful local charities,” said Brenda Gibson, owner of Marta’s.
Gibson herself donates a large part of her time raising money for local charities. She currently serves as the Board Chair for WakeMed Health and Hospitals and just recently concluded the Power of 10 Campaign for Transitions LifeCare which added 10 beds to the Hospice Home on Trinity Road.
